Tour character

Easy, child- and age-friendly hike with few meters in altitude on wide paths. With the Habicht and the Serles, the view falls continuously on two Tyrolean character mountains, numerous benches along the way invite you to soak up the sun. The Stockerhof (open until the end of September) should be included in the tour. Especially in late autumn, long hours of sunshine and the golden-yellow larch forest are still tempting here. Description

Telfes in the Stubai Valley was settled very early on - around 1,700 BC. Finds from the early Bronze Age, which were discovered not far from this site, in the area of the Gallhof, suggest this. The main reason for this is probably the fertile soil of the Telfer meadows. The name Telfes is also an indication of this. It is derived from the Indo-Germanic root "tellevo", which means "usable soil". Due to the location and the long periods of sunshine, the grass can grow particularly well here. Even today, the Telfer meadows are used exclusively for agricultural purposes and are among the most beautiful larch meadows in Tyrol. The abundant gentian blossom in spring is particularly impressive.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
Starting from the parking lots in the Kapfers district of Telfes, a wide and flat forest path leads towards the Telfer Wiesen. This beautiful path leads past many larch trees and after just 15 minutes you reach the "Telfer Wiesen" nature reserve. With its large sunbathing platform and shady trees, this is a great place to linger. After another half hour, you reach a junction and follow it to the right in the direction of Gasthof Kirchbrücke. The path descends slightly near the stream past the Gallhof and Wiesenhof farms. After the Wiesenhof farm, turn left, cross the Ruetzbach stream and continue along the path towards Gasthof Kirchbrücke. After a total walking time of around 2 hours, you reach the Kirchbrücke inn. Now it's uphill in the direction of Telfes. After approx. 30 minutes you reach the starting point again.
