A leisurely walk through the sunny hamlet of Flecken with its rustic farms to the valley station of the Pillersee Buchensteinwand cable car. From there it's a comfortable ride on the chairlift up to Jakobskreuz.
From the car park opposite the Landhotel Strasserwirt, follow the winter hiking trail to the Roischenauweg junction. There, briefly turn right along the road, then right again in the direction of Rossau and Flecken. Follow the road until you reach the valley station of the Pillersee Buchensteinwand cable car. From there, take the easy chairlift up to the 30 m high accessible Jakobskreuz.
Return to the starting point via the same way or with the free ski bus from the valley station.
By bus: free bus service from Ellmau / Kitzbühel / St. Johann i.T. / Lofer and within the PillerseeTal region. Bus stop St. Ulrich a.P. Strasserwirt. Free of charge with guest card.
