Aldrans

Together with neighbouring Sistrans and Ampass, the lively village of Aldrans is perched on a sunny plateau just three kilometres south of the regional capital Innsbruck.

Home to around 2,500 inhabitants, the village of Aldrans is perched on a plateau overlooking the regional capital Innsbruck. Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy the trails that lead up into the mountains overlooking the village. Popular destinations for hikers and bikers are the Aldranser Alm and Sistranser Alm huts, also excellent for families. The Zirbenweg Trail connects the Patscherkofel mountain with the Glungezer mountain and offers walkers fabulous views of the Inn Valley. Golf enthusiasts can tee off in nearby Igls, while the Lansersee is the perfect place to cool off on hot days. In winter it is just a short drive to the two ski resorts of Patscherkofel and Glungezer, while the region is also home to a number of toboggan runs and even an Olympic luge and bobsleigh track. Winter hiking and ice skating are other popular activities in winter.
