Located in the Reutte Nature Park Region in the west of Tirol, Ehenbichl is a remote village with just 825 inhabitants at the foot of the Schlossberg mountain. Atop the mountain stand the Ehrenberg Ruins, the remains of what was once one of the most important fortress complexes in Central Europe.
A visit to the Ehrenberg Ruins promises great fun for all the family. As well as castles and fortresses, visitors can look forward to a museum, a nature exhibition and plenty of medieval action.
Those with a head for heights and a strong stomach should visit the Highline 179. At 115 metres above the ground and 406 metres in length, it is the longest suspension footbridge in the world and offers fantastic views of the Reutte Nature Park Region – if you can keep your eyes open!
