Häselgehr is a haven of peace and quiet in the Upper Lechtal Valley. Surrounded by fresh air and an unspoilt landscape, this traditional Tirolean village is home to 660 inhabitants.
Far from the madding crowd, Häselgehr is a popular holiday destination for families and hikers. The landscape is shaped by the Lech river, which winds its way through the Lechtal Valley. The Lechtal Alps draw many hikers with its comprehensive network of well-signposted trails. The village itself has plenty of traditional events going on, which are a good opportunity to meet the locals and learn about regional customs. Neighbouring Gramais is officially the smallest municipality in Austria. Just 5 kilometres away is the village of Elbigenalp with its "Geierwally Freilichtbühne" outdoor theatre carved into the rocks of the Bernhardstalschlucht canyon.
