Mils bei Imst

Mils lies in a sunny location to the north of the Inn river near the town of Imst. This farming village on the wide valley floor is home to 550 inhabitants.

Situated in the heart of the Imst holiday region, Mils bei Imst has plenty to offer visitors keen on outdoor sports. Hikers, for example, can explore the Via Claudia Augusta and sections of the St James's Way, while cyclists will enjoy the Inn Cycle Path. Locals and visitors flock to the Milser Au in summer. The traditional hospitality which guests will experience in Mils dates back many centuries. The horshoe which can be found in the village's coat of arms is a reminder of the times when local farmers would use their own horses to help passing travellers pull their carriages up steep sections. And, as everyone knows, horseshoes are a sign of good luck!
