Musau is a pretty village to the north of Reutte, on the western banks of the Lech river, and is home to almost 400 inhabitants.
The village of Musau takes its name from the nearby Lech river and its meanders, which were known as "muessa" in Old High German. Situated in the Reutte Nature Park Region, it is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are plenty of activities in both summer and winter, and the German region of Bavaria with its magical castles is just a few kilometres away. Musau itself is a quiet village measuring four kilometres in length and comprising three hamlets: Brandstatt, Roßschläg and Saba.
