Rietz in the Inntal Valley can be seen from afar thanks to its iconic pilgrimage church dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua. The church is located in a forest overlooking the village.

Other religious buildings like the parish church, many chapels and wayside shines can be found in the village, alongside traditional farmhouses and drinking fountains. The municipality of Rietz stretches from the Inn river to the 2,884-metre-high Rietzer Grießkogel mountain, which forms part of the Stubai Alps. The more than 2,000 people who call Rietz home enjoy the many leisure activities available in this pretty region near the Mieming Plateau. The glacier skiing areas in the Ötztal Valley and the Pitztal Valley are just a short drive, while in summer cyclist can explore the Inn Cycle Path. Foodies should pay a visit to "Mair‘s Beerengarten" with its many delicious jams, sirups, teas, sparkling wines, liqueurs and schnapps.
