Rinn lies on a sunny mountain plateau between Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol at an altitude of 918 metres.

Together with the former place of pilgrimage Judenstein it forms a municipality home to around 1,700 inhabitants. Despite its quiet location, Rinn is a good starting point for activities such as hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The Glungezer mountain is a few kilometres way, and it is just a short drive to the other six ski resorts which make up the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck with a total of 160 kilometres of pistes. Rinn is also home to the largest golf course in the region. "RollRinn" is an annual event which supports disabled sports and aims to bring together disabled and non-disabled people.
