Calm and peaceful, yet just a few kilometres from Innsbruck, Unterperfuss is an idea holiday destination with many charming farmhouses. The village's residents continue to celebrate many traditional customs.
Unterperfuss lies in the Inn Valley, between the Karwendel Mountains the the Mittelgebirge. From the neighbouring village of Oberperfuss it is just a short walk or bike ride into the mountains. There is also a cable car leading up onto the Rangger Köpfl mountain with its family-friendly hiking trails connecting traditional huts serving local food. In winter this 1,939m mountain is home to a small ski resort with 17 kilometres of perfectly prepared pistes ideal for skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities. Rangger Köpfl is also well-knwon for its 10km toboggan run, which is floodlit in the evenings.
In summer there is the Inn Cycle Path which passes through Unterperfuss and connects the many charming villages on the banks of the Inn river. Nearby towns such as the regional capital Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol are also well worth a visit.
