Family ski holidays in Alpbachtal Valley

Families in search of a pretty village setting combined with the advantages of a major ski resort should head to the Alpbachtal Valley.

The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is known first and foremost for its small, quiet resorts ideal for families with children. In the villages there are small lifts ideal for beginners, while further up the mountain advanced and expert skiers will find more challenging slopes. The Juppi Do Kinderland, for example, is next to the bottom station of the Reitherkogelbahn cable car and offers not only easy slopes but also activities and childcare. Another area popular with kids is Frostys Schneewelt with its children's cinema, games and childcare for youngsters aged 2-6 years. Older children will enjoy the local funslopes and snowparks.

The Alpbachtal Card offers many great deals and discounts on activities in the region such as toboggan hire and torch-lit walks. We also recommend ice skating on the frozen Reintalersee lake in Kramsach or the Eisarena in Kundl.

Special family deals. In the villages of Kramsach and Brandenberg skiers younger than 16 years can even use the lifts free of charge during the week.
