The Kaiserwinkl region between the German border and the Zahmer Kaiser Mountains is home to two ski resorts. Both are relatively small but have plenty to offer for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
The lifts in Kössen give quick and easy access to the north-facing slopes of the Unterberghorn mountain, where the resort of Hochkössen caters for everyone from beginners to experts thanks to its snowpark, learning area, family-friendly runs and cosy huts. There are also a number of black runs as well as a racing centre with slalom courses. The resort of Zahmer Kaiser near Durchholzen is mainly for families, beginners and cruisers, but there are also two relatively challenging red runs.
