Cross-Country Skiing in the Kaiserwinkl Region

Explore 250 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails extending across pristine meadows and rolling hills between the Chiemgau Alps and the Wilder Kaiser Mountains.

When snow blankets this scenic area, it becomes a haven for cross-country skiers with varied terrain suitable for every level. Around 50% of the 250 kilometres of trails are groomed for the traditional Classic technique, while the remaining 50% are suitable for the more modern and dynamic Skating technique. Use of the trails is free of charge. Kaiserwinkl guest card holders can also use public transport in the region free of charge.

You’ve never cross country skied? The Nordic training centers Kössen and Oberberg are perfect places to make first times good times. The 8km "Seeloipe" trail is ideal for beginners and winds its way along the shores of the scenic Walchsee lake.
