East Tirol-Sillian for Families

At Sillian, East Tirol’s family-friendly valley, you will experience the great outdoors like never before.

The towering peaks of the Dolomites surround the valley with striking mountain scenery. And with their „Mountains for Gnomes“ program you can probably find whatever you and your kids can dream up. The ‚Gnome Express’, a quaint slow train, takes little adventurers to a variety of fun destinations. To the Wichtel Park (literally ‘Gnome Park’), for example, or to the Wonky Tonky River, a mysterious watercourse that holds one or the other gold nugget which you might come across gold panning. Or, explore the lush beauty of our woods and mountains on a nature walk at Thurntaler Mountain. Ride the gondola to its top, 2,100 meters above sea level, and enjoy a stroller accessible 45 minute walk to three wonderful mountain lakes.

Highlights from the free weekly activity programme

From early July until early September, children and youths can take part from Monday to Friday in the free activity programme.
