Skiing in the Zell-Gerlos Region

The Zillertal Arena is one of the largest ski networks in the south-east of Tirol. Connecting Zell, Gerlos and several more villages in the valley, it even crosses over the border into the neighbouring province of Salzburg.

Skiing brings not only people but also provinces together! The Zillertal Arena connects several villages in the Zell-Gerlos region with resorts in the neighbouring province of Salzburg, offering a huge range of blue, red and black pistes served by over 50 lifts and cable cars. Down in the valley there is plenty of easy skiing for beginners and those getting back into the sport after a while away, while further up there is intermediate cruising combined with plenty of challenging terrain for advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders. The Arena is also home to the region's longest toboggan run, measuring seven kilometres from start to finish, which is floodlit at night. Skiers can also look forward to one of Austria's longest ski pistes.
