Gschnitz Mill Village

Gschnitz

From living history to live demonstrations of past technologies, historic Gschnitz Mill Village offers a fascinating look at the past in fun ways. Showcasing the crafts and artefacts of the 19th century, the water-powered gristmill and the blacksmith shop offer visitors a glimpse of how life was lived in the rural Tirol 100 years ago. The white spray of Sandes Waterfall whooshes over cliffs at the southern end of the Mill Village, emitting a thunderous sound and a gentle spray that serves as a cool reward to those who’ve trekked in to see the water works. Children will love the adventure playground at the waterfall.
