Ponyalm Astberg

Going am Wilden Kaiser

Children who like animals will love the Ponyalm Astberg above the village of Going. It is home to many ponies which can be ridden as well as a petting zoo with lots of cuddly creatures large and small.

Accessible via the Astbergbahn four-person chairlift, the Ponyalm Astberg is perched at 1,200 metres above sea level next to the beautiful Astbergsee lake. In the summer months it has 20 ponies which can be ridden by children while adults will enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There is even a special Pony Trail. Visitors will also find a petting zoo, an adventure play area and several huge wooden recliners where young and old can soak up the sun and enjoy the panorama. The nearby Blattlalm serves hearty lcoal food and has a large, sunny terrace.
