Adaptive Nordic Skiing

Three Tirolean regions have been leaders in promoting the sport of adaptive Nordic skiing, opening up the beauty of cross-country skiing to visitors with physical disabilities.

Each region offers a network of accessible cross-country skiing tracks for all abilities. Tracks and trails are regularly inspected by nine-time Paralympic champion Oliver Anthofer. Facilities and amenities are constantly improved and made more accessible to handicapped guests. Nordic or “cross-country” athletes have long been heralded as leaders in aerobic power output and rank among the best athletes in the world of endurance sports.
