In 2022, the popular Tannheimer Tal Cycling Marathon is in its 12th year. All entries from the cancelled 2020 and 2021 races were kept on.
In 2018, a new 58K distance with a mere 400 vertical meters was introduced to celebrate the event’s tenth anniversary. This new ride is now open to all cyclists ages 12 and older. Every year, cycling enthusiasts gravitate to the picturesque village of Tannheim to be a part of the Tannheimer Tal Cycling Marathon, the perfect cycling adventure, incorporating some of the most celebrated unique routes, challenging climbs, and exhilarating descents in Tirol’s Außerfern Region. There are four different distances so all abilities of bikers will find these "vista riddled" routes perfect for them: In addition to the 58K ride, the three proven routes range from 92K with 530 vertical meters over 131K riverside cycling across Lechtal Valley with 700 vertical meters to the competitive 220K route that crosses the border into Germany’s Allgäu Region and gains 3,500 meters of elevation.
