Kufstein Market will be open for shoppers in March to sample and stock up on local Easter treats and festive fayre, along with elaborate crafts and handmade wares.
Kufstein’s Stadtpark provides a stunning backdrop for a showcase of lovely Easter treats, from crispy “Zillertaler Krapfen” to tasty “Kiachl”, a traditional fried yeast dough pastry that is either eaten savoury with sauerkraut or sweet with cranberry jam, dusted with confectioner's sugar. From 10:00am to 5:00pm, visitors can watch skilled craftsmen, wood turners and sculptors, lovingly labour over wood and natural material items perfect for gift giving – or keeping as a personal treasure. Keeping the kids amused will be an array of handicrafts. And – who knows – maybe they’ll meet the Easter bunny while roaming about, “Hoppin’ down the bunny trail - Hippity hoppity, Easters on its way!”
