Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, the Ebbs Koasa March marks the highlight for avid walkers and runners in Tirol Unterland Region.
Zahmer Kaiser, Wilder Kaiser and pristine Kaisertal Valley will play host to the popular Koasa March on June 15, 2019, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. There are seven different events for athletes of all tastes and abilities. Kick-off for the hikers is 6:00am at the Events Center in Ebbs. Walkers can choose between four different courses, ranging from easy 5K and 12K valley walks for the less energetic to the more demanding “20er” mountain walk, covering 21.1K and 1,000 vertical meters, to the challenging “40er” walk, including 33K and 1,730 vertical meters.
One hour later, at 7:00am, competitors start for the Koasa Anniversary Ultra Run, an extremely demanding 52.4K trail run, including a nasty 3,450 vertical meters and for the shorter 33K Classic Run that follows the course of the “40er” walk. The Koasa Half Marathon begins at 11:00am (21.1K, 1,000 vertical meters). All events have their finish line in Ebbs. New since 2017: The Koasa March is part of the Austria Trail Running Association, which means that Marathon and Half Marathon qualify for the Austria Trail Running Cup.
