From early November through late February, aut. architektur und tirol presents the “No Name Design” exhibition by Swiss product designer Franco Clivio, along with installations by Numen/For Use.
Renowned Swiss product designer Franco Clivio has collected a large number of mostly small objects from everyday use and is now presenting them in his exhibition “No Name Design”. What unites all these objects is their clever design and functionality, based on a particular idea and construction. Of very few of them it is known who invented or designed them. They belong to the anonymous everyday design and are not part of the officially celebrated design culture.
Numen/For Use is an international collective working in the fields of industrial and spatial design, scenography and conceptual art who will present its work at aut. architektur und Tirol for the second time. Titled “Negative Space” and “Collapsing Room”, the sculpture-like pieces are large in scale and take over whole public spaces while also reinventing them, changing the way in which they can be occupied and changing the experience of the interactions between participants. The exhibition will be on display at aut. architektur und tirol in Innsbruck from November 10, 2023 through February 24, 2024.
