Rounding up the herds and horses for the annual cattle drive is taken as a reason to celebrate with live music and culinary delicacies in Pfunds in Tirol’s Oberland Region.
The farmers are moving herds of cattle and horses from their summer grazing grounds to the winter stables down in the valley. The first herds are expected to arrive in the village of Pfunds by 10:00am, the cows by 12:30 noon and the horses by 2:00pm. Visitors and locals celebrate their homecoming at Ensplatz Square over live music and culinary specialties.
