Rifflsee High Altitude XC Ski Track

Since Rifflsee Lake sits at a higher elevation in St. Leonhard, Pitztal Valley, it receives more snow and a longer ski season and is usually open for skiing from mid-September through mid-May. Experts in need of a challenge will appreciate this 3.7-kilometer loop, a high altitude route that climbs to a 2,200 meter elevation. The picturesque trail follows the Rifflsee lakeside shoreline. Its steep spot at the end of the loop adds just enough challenge and provides a good workout. The efforts are highly rewarded with magnificent views of Inner Pitztal valley’s lofty peaks.
