Bike Trail Tirol Stage 17: Zell - Mayrhofen

A perfect and very easy route along the Zillertal Cycleway ideal for hobby cyclists and families. Great fun is guaranteed on the 9 kilometer long track which takes about 1 hour. There are no major ascents or altitude changes.

  • Start the tour at the bridge over Ziller River and follow the sunny valley bottom.
  • The perfectly signposted track features only a few easy climbs and 86 meters of altitude gain.
  • In Zell am Ziller you have the opportunity to pedal via Kreuzwiesenalmhütte to Gerlos and further on to the Kitzbühel Alps - scenic loop tour!
  • In Mayrhofen passionate transalp bikers choose the route via Ginzling and Schlegeis Reservoir to Pfitscherjoch Saddle as the Bike Trail Tirol leads from Mayrhofen towards the Tux Alps, and back across Geiseljoch Ridge from the south.
