Harbe Line

The Harbe Line in the Bike Republic Sölden is one of those trails you want to ride over and over again. Opened in 2017, it is 2.2 kilometres in length and descends around 180 vertical metres from the start at top station of the Giggijochbahn cable car to the finish in the village of Hochsölden. On the way riders must negotiate numerous corners, tables, kickers and berms, all of which are also suitable for less experienced riders. Nevertheless, don't underestimate the Harbe Line! It may be rated only S1 (easy), but it has sections which lead through steep and exposed terrain.

Trail description

The adventure starts with a ride up on the state-of-the-art Giggijochbahn cable car to the top station at 2,283 metres above sea level. Leaving the cable car building and heading south, riders follow a gravel road for a few metres before reaching the official start of the trail next to a wooden fence.

The first section is made up of many corners with some sections of loose ground, so riders should be cautious. The ground gradually becomes more solid and the trail more flowing and faster. A few small tables and kickers here and there are on hand for those in search of a little airtime but can also be ridden around or over without leaving the ground.

The section section of the trail has some nice berms and fast straights where riders can pick up some serious speed. The line ends next to the Restaurant Sonnblick in Hochsölden.

For riders wishing to continue towards the valley floor there is the option of taking the popular Leiterberg Trail (intermediate) or the Rettenbachalm Trail (easy).

Tip! The Harbe Line is the only singletrack trail in the Bike Republic Sölden above the treeline. It is therefore a good choice after rainfall because it dries quickly.
