St. Jakob im Defereggental – Erlsbach Cycle Path

The path entrance to this easy family route is located at Einfangbrücke Bridge, shortly before reaching the village center of St. Jakob. The 7.1-kilometer route follows paved roads and gravel riverside paths along the banks of Schwarzach River. The family-friendly ride gains 166 meters in elevation and takes about 45 minutes to complete. The cycle path ends in Erlsbach at an elevation of 1,555 meters.

Trail description

Trailhead is at „Einfangbrücke“ Bridge, shortly before reaching the village center of St. Jakob. Ride along the gravel riverside road on the banks of Schwarzach River, passing „Sander Ebene“ playground and festivity area. At Bad Grünmoos, the flat route continues to Maria Hilf from where a moderately steep, paved road climbs to „Pötsch“. A gravel road brings you to the end of the cycle path, which is Erlsbach.
