The first section leads along the signposted MTB route 305 left into the "Luegergraben", past the Bubenkapelle chapel, over the Alpbach-Brücke bridge and then immediately right onto a path leading gently uphill along the banks of the Alpbacher Ache river. Continue past the Kühtalalm hut, before the trail becomes steeper as you pass the Faulbaumgartenalm at 1,492 metres. This is a good place to stop for a drink and a snack.
