Leaving the picturesque village of Inneralpbach, famous for its flower-decorated houses, this mountainbike ride leads through the idyllic Alpbach Valley up to the Steinbergalm. This traditional wooden hut high in the mountains lies 700 vertical metres above the starting point, at the foot of the Sonnenjoch mountain, and is known throughout the region for its homemade cheese. The 15.4 km ride with gradients of over 10% requires a good level of fitness but offers beautiful views and stunning scenery.

Trail description
The ride begins at the car park in Inneralpbach. The first section leads along the signposted MTB route 305 left into the "Luegergraben", past the Bubenkapelle chapel, over the Alpbach-Brücke bridge and then immediately right onto a path leading gently uphill along the banks of the Alpbacher Ache river. Continue past the Kühtalalm hut, before the trail becomes steeper as you pass the Faulbaumgartenalm at 1,492 metres. This is a good place to stop for a drink and a snack. The final section takes riders to the Filzalm hut and finally the Steinbergalm hut 1,710 metres, where the culinary treats on offer include homemade cheese. Return along the same route back into the valley.
