Adolari Loop

Solitude. Peace and quiet. Walking promotes a healthy mind, body and soul. Head out on foot and explore an area of awesome natural beauty along the Saint Adolari Hiking Trail. This easy loop tour follows a panoramic trail from St. Ulrich to the pilgrimage church of Saint Adolari. Standing on the northern edge of Pillersee lake, this place has been a beacon for pilgrims, hikers and visitors for centuries. Saint Adolar is known as the patron saint of animals, a status which was and still is of great importance in a rural area like this. The foundation walls of the pilgrimage church date back to the year 1200. Among the church’s most impressive possessions are the paintings in the rib vaulting, depicting the largest Gothic-style St. Mary’s circle in North Tirol. Earthly pleasures for body and soul are dished up at St. Adolari restaurant, where you will be treated to savoury Tirol staples in a wonderful setting.
