In 2016 the Kaisertal Valley was voted the "most beautiful place in Austria" by the viewers of Austria's national broadcaster ORF. Visitors to these charming valley in the east of Tirol will immediately realise why. This relatively long but easy hike takes walkers through the area between the Wilder Kaiser Mountains and the Zahmer Kaiser Mountains. It starts in Ebbs near Kufstein and leads to the Stripsenjochhaus (1,580 metres) and back. A little above the hut is the Tavonaro-Kreuz, a spectacular wooden cross high in the mountains offering fantastic views of the surrounding region. This hike is also suitable for families with children, though good fitness levels are required. Along the route is the "Sagenweg" adventure trail with four outdoor play areas.
