The Gachtpass, also known as Gaichtpass, is located in the Reutte Nature Park Region. The ascent begins next to the chapel in Weißenbach and leads up to the mountain hut. The path then continues to the Alter Gachtpass mountain pass. While it lasts just 45 minutes, the ascent to the top of the run is an interesting experience, with a series of information boards telling the history of the mountain pass – in years gone by an important crossing point to the Allgäu region. The 1.25km run itself is great fun and leads past steep rockfaces and canyons on its way down into the valley. Barriers and walls of snow provide protection along the side of the run.
