Kellerjoch-Grafenast Toboggan Run

At 9.1 kilometres, this toboggan run high above the ancient silver-mining town of Schwaz is not only the longest in Tirol but also the the second-longest in Austria. It starts at the top of the Kellerjochbahn cable car and leads via many sweeping curves and tight switchback corners via Grafenast to the Schloss Freundsberg castle on the edge of Schwaz. The lower section is floodlit. Toboggans can be hired from several locations in the valley. The toboggan run can be accessed from Arzberg using the Kellerjochbahn cable car or by foot (2 hours 40 minutes walking time) by walking from Freundsberg to the mid-way station of the cable car at Grafenast and taking the cable car up to the top. Toboggan races are held every Thursday in Stans and there is torch-lit night tobogganing at Hochpillberg.
