Hinterthiersee - Kranhof - Wiesenhof

The Thierseetal Valley is a beautiful destination all year round, including during the winter months. This hike of intermediate difficulty begins in Hinterthiersee and leads past many impressive farmstead, including the Schiestlhof and the Kranhof, with great views of the Glemmbachklamm gorge. More pretty farmhouses await in the hamlet of Modal. After a drink and a snack at the Jausenstation Wieshof hikers return along the same route back to Hinterthiersee.

Trail description

This hike starts in the centre of Hinterthiersee and leads from the church towards Landl and as far as the Schiestlhof farm. Turn left there and follow the winter hiking trail to the Kranhof farm. After a further 3km turn left to Modal. Past the Jausenstation Wieshof and then back to Hinterthiersee.

Tip! The last part of the hike can also be completed on a toboggan. Toboggans can be hired from the Jausenstation Wieshof.
