Attraction Proßeggklamm Canyon

Huben

The Proßeggklamm gorge is closed in winter

Description

The steep walls of the Proßeggklamm gorge descend more than 120 metres. Over time, the Tauernbach stream formed this spectacular gorge, one of the largest in Osttirol. Since the summer of 2024, the gorge has again been accessible and open to visitors.

The red mountain path leads from Proßegg slightly uphill into and through the gorge. The breathtaking view of the almost 100-metre high Steiner waterfall is particularly refreshing on hot summer days.

If you would like to rent a helmet, you can get one at the tourist information centre in Matrei i.O.
