Where food was once stored, the ‘Maria Stein’ chapel now stands – a gem of the mountain landscape in Osttirol.

Description

The Maria Stein Chapel was built by volunteers and officially consecrated in 2025. What once served as a simple cold store for food for Carl von Thieme has now become a beautiful little sacred gem – situated at over 1,900 metres above sea level – right next to the Äußere Steiner Alm.
