Description

Not far from the picturesque Leutascher Geisterklammand directly on the Bavarian border is the small mountain inn Ederkanzel. In a beautiful location at an altitude of 1,208 metres above sea level, the cosy sun terrace offers a spectacular view of the extensive Leutasch valley, the Ferchenbach and Isar valleys and the impressive rock massifs of the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains. For little adventurers*, there is also a playground with swings, seesaws, climbing tower and slide.


For more than 75 years, the Ederkanzel mountain restaurant with Bavarian snacks and other local specialities has been considered an insider tip among gourmets. In the fall and winter season, the small Kulinarium serves a great feast for gourmet groups of 15 people or more and on advance booking. The premises and dining rooms can also be used for parties, family and Christmas celebrations, weddings, birthdays and company outings for up to 80 people, but please book in advance.

STARTING POINT
The ascent to the mountain inn Ederkanzel is easily accessible by car (parking facilities are available for a fee) and regional transport at the Leutascher Klammstüberland offers several ways to reach your destination: either a little more extensive via the panoramic Franzosensteig circular trail, on a direct route over the gorge bridge or with a spectacular loop through the Leutascher Geisterklamm. All hiking trails to the Ederkanzel are pleasant and beautiful, family and child friendly and can be extended as required to the natural idyll of the Lautersee and Ferchensee lakes.
