Description

Starting from the hut, you can go on exciting hikes to the surrounding peaks including the Bischof, Gebra (2057m a.s.l.) and the Sonnspitze (2062m a.s.l.) just to name a few. The Hochwildalm can also be used as an overnight stay for multi-day hikes, such as the “Kitzbüheler Spaziergang”.

The hut also serves as a base for multi-day stays in a pristine mountain region. Activities such as hikes, picking berries, flowers and herbs or going for a swim in the near-by lake are just some of the possibilities to keep the whole family entertained.

The wood fired rustic sitting room inside sits approximately 30 people. But on sunny days you’d much prefer the lovely terrace anyways, which gets warmed by the sun from dawn till dusk. Here you can enjoy cheese from the neighbouring alpine dairy and locally brewed beer.

The menu at the Hochwildalm will include fresh food, all homemade with ingredients mostly from local farmers. Bread and cakes come straight out of the wood fired oven. Dishes are diverse and include Tyrolean favorites, such as Kaspressknödel... Animal products are exclusively sourced from organic farmers.
