Description

In the Leutasch district of Gasse, you will find one of the most beautiful sun spots in the Seefeld region - Tyrol's high plateau: Polis Hütte. Close to the main road, the beautiful A7 landscape ski trail passes by the cozy snack station. The small wooden hut with its stube and cozy sun terrace offers seating for about 35 people and can also be used for private celebrations and events year-round - early reservations are requested.

In summer: every Wednesday "Rippelen Evening," reservations requested! Saturday + Sunday "Hut Breakfast" with reservations.

Known and loved by sports enthusiasts and food lovers alike are the delicious cakes from the pastry chef and the “Hot Apricot” - especially during the chilly winter months.

LOCATION & STARTING POINT
Polis' small wooden hut is easily and straightforwardly accessible: Either by car via the main road (the parking is free for guests), or with the public regional transport to the Leutasch Gasse/Gasthof Weißes Rössl stop (with the PlateauCard free of charge).

Warm dishes, coffee and cakes, ice cream: continuously
Rest day: in summer Monday and Tuesday | no rest day in winter
Seating: approx. 35
Miscellaneous: homemade cakes from the pastry chef (also to take away)
in summer: every Wednesday Rippelen Evening with prior reservation, every Saturday & Sunday Hut Breakfast  with reservation

SUMMER TOURS

  • Lautersee & Ferchensee
During the summer months, Polis Hütte is positioned directly on the main road to Mittenwald as an optimal starting point for (e-)bike tours into neighboring Bavaria. Here, not only is the picturesque natural idyll at Lauter- and Ferchensee ideal for an excursion, but the ruins of the historical alpine fortress Porta Claudia near Scharnitz can also be admired along the way.
  • Leutascher Geisterklamm
A spectacular gorge hike of a different kind: Up to 70 meters above the roaring water, you walk on narrow paths through the wild romantic Leutascher Geisterklamm. Along the way, you can not only encounter the mysterious spirits and goblins of the gorge but also discover many interesting facts about the fauna and flora of the steep gorge!

WINTER TOURS

  • Cross-Country Skiing Round Kaiser Maximilian (classic & skating)
As one of the most extensive and demanding cross-country ski rounds, the spectacular Kaiser Maximilian round is based on the namesake popular race. Along the way, the route runs from Seekirchl to Wildmoos through wild romantic forest patches, traverses the scenic Leutasch Valley in (almost) its entirety, and returns to Seefeld with a spectacular downhill run.
  • Cross-Country Skiing in Picturesque Leutasch (A7 - Gasse)
The "Gasse" trail is flat, has no elevation changes or descents, and is therefore very suitable for beginners (for classic & skating).
