Description

Opening hours in July from 10:00 to 16:30
Day off on Monday and in bad weather also on Tuesday
A self-service machine is available on site.

The Reitherjoch Alm is located directly in the Rosshütte ski area at 1,500 metres above sea level and is easily accessible by public transport. The Rosshütte cable cars make the ascent to the former shepherd's hut easy, while hikes and (e-)bike tours await you up there in summer and unadulterated snow fun and skiing in winter.

On the inviting sun terrace, the host family Seyrling with the team serves homemade specialities and desserts from Tyrolean cuisine, and afterwards you can enjoy the panorama happily on the deckchairs. The Alm is also easily accessible for families with prams, a spacious children's playground with sandpit and fireplace keeps the youngsters busy, while parents can simply relax here. A self-service refrigerator is available outside opening hours.

LOCATION & STARTING POINT
The rustic alpine hut is easily accessible by public transport: From Seefeld railway station and the other towns in the Region Seefeld, there are regional ski buses to the Rosshütte cable cars in winter. In the summer months, you can walk from Seefeld railway station to the starting point to the alpine hut in just under twenty minutes. The car park at the transformer station (signpost Ichtyolwerk) offers enough parking spaces for car drivers, in winter there are separate parking facilities for ski tourers and skiers. For the ascent, you then only have to choose between comfortable forest paths or the Rosshütte cable cars.

SUMMER TOURS

  • Bike tour to the Reitherjoch Alm. From the Reith information office, the medium-difficulty bike tour leads along the old Roman road and wide forest paths to Seefeld. On the way, you can learn interesting facts about wild and honey bees on the educational bee trail. At the Ichtyolwerk near Seefeld, take the gravelled Jochweg trail and continue to the Reitherjoch Alm.
