Description

The fire station in Brandberg is the starting point for Route No. 459, from where you ride straight on past the parish church. After a flat stretch the road begins to rise again in the Ritzl district and winds its way back up the mountain in hairpin bends between the houses. A gravel path then leads uphill from Ritzl. Passing fields, the route begins to rise a little more steeply in the forest. As you push down into those pedals, you will quickly gain metres in elevation. After passing the material cableway, only a few more bends remain until the finishing point. To the rear of Kolmhaus 1845 m, a flat meadow and grass covered hills invite you to relax. Refreshments are recommended at Kolmhaus 1845 m, before you embark on your return journey.

Tip: Enjoy some fresh mountain spring water at the drinking fountain next to Gasthof Thanner.
