Description

Description:

Enjoy the different landscapes of the Allgäu. The scenic Westallgäu, cross the Iller valley and conquer the old Jochpass near Bad Hindelang. In Oberjoch, the main route splits into a northern and a southern variant.

The northern main route takes us to Unterjoch and further through the Austrian exclave Jungholz. There we descend into the Vils valley and thus reach Pfronten, a typical Allgäu village with many hamlets and districts. Over small, hidden lakes we reach the ridge of the Senkele, from which we enjoy a wonderful view of Säuling, Branderschrofen and Hochplatte. At the foot of the mountains lie Lake Forggensee and the two royal castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The northern main route continues along the shore of Lake Hopfensee to Füssen with its impressive old town. Along the Lech, we cross the border into Austria and approach the destination Reutte.
