Honey was used as a food in the Stone Age and was initially used as a sweetener. The Bee Keeping Association in Kirchdorf in Tirol would like to share information about bees and honey with you and so they set up the Bienenweg in Erpfendorf. Along the forest trail to the Jägeralm there are seven display boards, which provide lots of interesting information about bees and you will be amazed by the managed beehive!
