Ellbögen - Arztaler Alm mountain hut
The hike begins at the Hinterlarcher car park in Oberellbögen, which is subject to a charge. From here, follow the well-maintained forest path, which winds its way steadily uphill through the idyllic Arztal valley.
The path initially leads through dense forest, which provides pleasant shade and a peaceful, natural atmosphere. As the altitude increases, the forest gradually thins out and marvellous views of the surrounding mountain peaks open up again and again.
After a continuous but manageable ascent, you finally reach the Arztaler Alm, which is situated on a picturesque plateau. Here you can enjoy the beautiful landscape and reward yourself with a well-earned rest.
For the way back, follow the same route downhill back to the starting point at the Hinterlarcher car park.
