Description

Walk from the church in Erpfendorf along the Schmiedweg in the direction of the Schmiedkreuz. At the end of the road, a trail branches off into the forest at a farmhouse. The path leads you up to the cross. This was already mentioned in the cadastre of 1855. The baroque body of Christ with the gilded loincloth is carved in an artistically very high quality work. Once you reach the top, you have a wonderful, wide view of Erpfendorf. You hike back along the same route. On the way back you can visit the Kneipp facility.
