Lovely, shady hike to the Berggasthof Holzalm

Description

Ascent in Kundl via Klammstraße to Saulueg/Distelberg. After the large fountain, about 300 m along the forest road and then turn left onto the path – attention: watch for signs! Then repeatedly cross the forest road (a total of 5 times) and continue until the path finally turns into a trail. From here first quickly uphill and then with no significant elevation gain further to the alpine pasture area. Here cross the swampy ground at a suitable place and then off-path uphill over the alpine meadows to the alpine hut, and from here already visible, continue to the Berggasthof Holzalm. Plan about 1 h 45 min to this point.

If you want to add Gratlspitz, take the ascent directly behind Holzalm to the summit, add approximately 2 h 45 min.

The return route leads along the same path.
