Description

Starting from the last parking lot at the Schlegeis Reservoir, or from the Jausenstation Zamsgatterl, 1.785 m, you follow the lakeside road on trail No. 502. Continuing along the lake passing by Zamsereck, 1.785 m and Helmut's Fischerhütte, 1.785 m, you reach the end of the reservoir after about 1 hour. Now, cross the Schlegeisbach on the gravel road and continue ascending slightly until reaching a fork in the road. From there, a footpath winds up in many switchbacks to the Furtschaglhaus, 2.295 m. You return via the same path. This hike serves as a starting point for many summit tours, such as the Großer Möseler or the Hohen Weißzint. Additionally, the Berliner Höhenweg leads here to the Schönbichler Horn, 3.133 m and further to the Berliner Hütte, 2.045 m.
