Description

From the information office, head about 100 m east, turn right and follow the pedestrian path to the Rosanna. Follow the signs to the Malfonalpe. The path is wide and runs through the Malfontal valley along the noisy Malfonbach stream. After the Malfonalpe, the trail crosses alpine rose slopes and then branches to the left just before the Hintere Malfonalpe next to an overhanging, black cliff. It continues in steep, tight switchbacks to the Edmund-Graf-Hütte (2408m). Variation: From here, there is an option to climb the Hoher Riffler (St, 3168m) in two hours. Take the same path back to the starting point (approx. 3 hrs).
