Description

The Auwald Trail begins at the parking lot of the Treetop Walkway and the Forest Experience Center in Pinswang, offering a barrier-free route deep into the floodplain forest. It stands out for its accessibility and close connection to nature.

Visitors can marvel at the turquoise-green waters of the Lech, discover rare animals and plants, and experience the power of water up close. Along the way, interactive riddles invite them to explore the region’s unique ecology in a playful manner.

As an alternative to the step-free gravel path, visitors can also enter the forest from the exhibition building on the Füssen side via a long slide. Two playgrounds featuring creative wooden structures and climbing elements provide opportunities for balancing and play. Crossing old Lech river channels via bridges and rafts, as well as sandy and loamy ground for barefoot walking, make this trail a truly immersive nature experience.

An optional detour leads to the famous Lech Falls, just a short walk away. Additionally, the barrier-free Treetop Walkway offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The Auwald Trail invites visitors to immerse themselves in nature and is an ideal destination for those eager to discover the beauty and secrets of this unique habitat.
