Trail condition

Easy hiking trail, partly asphalt, partly gravel.

The requirements for an accessible hiking trail are met here. The trail is barrier-free, but it is classified as a difficult (black) route. This means that a strong assistive device, such as a Swiss-Trac, is required. Without a towing device, the trail can only be completed with athletic pushing assistance.

Description

The requirements for an accessible hiking trail are fully met here. The trail is barrier-free, but it is classified as a difficult (black) route. This means that a pulling device such as a Swiss-Trac is required. Without a pulling device, the trail can only be managed with a strong assisting companion pushing a wheelchair. The elevation gain is limited thanks to the ascent using the Hahnenkamm cable car.

Please note: cycling is not permitted on the Alpenrosenweg!
