Description

This family-friendly circular hike takes you through the fascinating floodplain landscape of the Tiroler Lech Nature Park, a true bird paradise. On narrow paths, you will discover a unique natural landscape, experience interactive stations and enjoy impressive views from the 18-metre-high bird observation tower.

The circular hike starts at the parking lot of the Pflach Innovation Centre and first leads in the direction of Lech to the bird observation tower, which can be seen from afar - an ideal photo point and first opportunity for birdwatching. From the tower, the trail continues along a gravel path to the banks of the Lech. There, the trail follows a narrow path through the alluvial forest jungle, past oxbow lakes and dense reed belts that provide habitats for numerous bird species.

After a stretch along the Lech, you reach the Archbach, which you now follow upstream. Along the reed belt, the bird adventure trail with five interactive themed stations invites you to discover the world of birds in a playful way: at the touch of a button, you can hear different bird calls, test your knowledge with quiz questions and learn more about the survival strategies of birds.

You continue along the dam path along the shallow lake before the tour ends at the bird observation tower. The route can be followed in both directions.
